According to the news reported by APA with reference to TASS, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan confirmed that Fumio Kishida visited Ukraine.

The details of the trip were not disclosed.

Before that, the NHK TV channel broadcasted a video about the Prime Minister boarding the train at the Przemyśl railway station on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

Fumio Kisida, who left for Kyiv by train at around 01:30 local time, is expected to arrive in Kyiv 10 hours later and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This is the first visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to this country after the start of the war in Ukraine.
