Xi emphasized that there are voices for peace and rationality in the Ukrainian issue.

"China published a document on its position on the Ukrainian crisis, advocating a political solution to the crisis and rejecting the Cold War mentality and unilateral sanctions," Xi recalled.

"Russia has carefully studied China's position document on the political settlement of the Ukrainian issue and is open to peace negotiations. Russia welcomes China's constructive role in this regard," the message reads.

It will be recalled that Putin, on the eve of Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow, said that he was allegedly ready for a "political-diplomatic settlement" of the war against Ukraine.
