Japanese officials say Prime Minister Kishida Fumio is heading to Ukraine on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, for a surprise visit.

Representatives of the government and the ruling party say that Kishida has already left India for Ukraine.
The Prime Minister is expected to arrive in Ukraine later today for high-level talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
