She assures that this recipe existed more than a hundred years ago, because this is how her grandmother prepared Paska.
This hundreds-year-old recipe for the perfect pasca will help you make up to 10 delicious, airy pasca of 250g each or up to 5 pasca of 500g each.
What
you need to take
to bake an airy and tasty paska, like grandma's:
1 kg of flour;
400 ml of warm milk;
10 egg yolks;
100 g of yeast;
200 g of butter;
200 g of sugar;
150 g of raisins;
50 g of vanilla sugar;
half a teaspoon of salt;
zest of 1 lemon.
How to cook
:
First you need to prepare the steam.
To do this, combine warm milk, yeast, 3 tablespoons of flour and 1 tablespoon of sugar (from the total amount), mix and leave for 15 minutes.
Next, rub the egg yolks with sugar, add salt and vanilla sugar.
Mix until smooth.
Add melted butter, grated zest of 1 lemon and mix well again.
Now it's time to pour the steam.
Mix it well with other ingredients.
Add raisins, flour in portions and mix.
Pour the dough into molds, leave for 1 hour to rise and double in size.
Do not forget to grease the tops of the future strips with yolks.
Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees in a preheated oven for 45 minutes.
