Russia's Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that two Tu-95 strategic bombers had carried out a routine patrol mission over international waters in the Sea of ​​Japan.

"The duration of the flight was more than 7 hours," specified the press center of the Russian ministry.

From there they added that the planes were escorted by Su-30 and Su-35 fighters from the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces.

The Ministry of Defense recalled that Russian aviation regularly conducts such flights over international waters in the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Pacific Ocean, as well as over the Black and Baltic Seas.

All flights of Russian Air Force aircraft are carried out strictly in accordance with international norms for the use of airspace, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu assured.
