The weather has been quite warm in Kyiv for the second day.

Kyivans are already writing on social networks about excessive heat in their apartments and are actively interested in when they will turn off the heat in their houses.

After all, no one wants to pay for street heating.

KMDA does not yet comment on the information on when they plan to end the heating season.

Obviously, they will do it when the average daily temperature will be +8 and the appropriate order of the head will appear.

Judging by the weather forecast, the required temperature will be only at the beginning of April.

Until then, the townspeople have to live with open windows.

The TSN.ua website asked an expert when the heating season might end in the capital and other cities of Ukraine.

"Unfortunately, Ukraine does not have such a central heating system as in most European countries. There, each consumer can regulate the process of supplying the coolant and for this there is no need to turn off the central heating. People do it themselves, depending on the weather outside. If the heat is turned off heating and save money. And the managers of companies that supply heat see that the amount of heat consumption has decreased by 20-30%. After that, they will turn off the system," Oleg Popenko, head of the Union of Utilities Consumers, an expert in the field of housing and public utilities, tells us.

And with us, everything is the opposite - the heat will be turned off when this issue is resolved in the government offices.

"I believe that in the conditions of war, we should save thermal energy. I think we can already start disconnecting the heating from the cities in the South of the country, where the weather conditions allow it. For example, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa. There are already you can disconnect houses from heating and seriously save money on it," says Oleg Popenko.

He predicts that the heat will not be turned off and the heating season will end in Kyiv until April 1.

Although, last year, it was done on March 28, when the enemy was still close to the capital.

"I think that the heat will not be turned off in Kyiv until April 1, but you need to watch the weather map. If the warm temperature will be maintained and there will be no cooling in the coming days, then you can start turning off the heat in the houses in Kyiv. In the capital, the process of connecting and disconnection from the heat carrier does not take 1-2 days, but at least two weeks. The process is long-term, there are many districts in Kyiv. Both "Kyivteploenergo" and "Euroreconstruction" are engaged in this. So, until they give the command, until they turn off the water in all the houses - this is it will be the first of April. I think that it is necessary to start disconnecting the heat from houses in the capital now - the sooner we disconnect, the more we will save," Oleg Popenko adds.

We remind you that tariffs for water supply and drainage services in Ukraine may become more expensive in the near future.

This will happen after the relevant decision has been adopted by the NCRECP.
