As of March 21,

there are about 2,200 civilians, including 7 children, in the territory of

Avdiivka , Donetsk region.

This was announced by the head of the city's military administration, Vitaliy Barabash, on Radio Svoboda.

"In the last three weeks, 180 people have already left. The day before yesterday there were 150. Today only 14 were taken out. Approximately 1910. We count 1900 based on the statements that people write when they receive humanitarian aid. But in reality there are a little more, because not everyone has desire to receive humanitarian aid and not all of them come. We see approximately 2,200. Among them there are still seven children. Two weeks ago we had 47 children. We aim to take all the children out of the city by the end of the week," - said Barabash.

According to him, in the last few months, the Russians have intensified their rocket attacks on Avdiyivka, in some places the number of rockets reaches 12 per day.

The occupiers began to use S-300 and Kh-59 missiles.

Previously, Avdiivka was more active with "Tornadoes", "Hurricanes" and "Point-U".

"It's really hot here, it's really hot, there are dozens of shellings per day. People hear and see that the shelling is not decreasing, the city is not becoming safer, just the opposite. Plus these missile strikes, air missile strikes. In principle, this is what we had almost before there was no," he said.

It will be recalled that Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, the spokesman of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavri region, said that

the Russian command planned to "encircle Avdiivka"

in order to localize the Ukrainian Defense Forces stationed there.

It's just that the city itself is not needed by the Russian invaders.
