Donald Trump has expressed apprehension, he may be arrested on Tuesday

New York police on Monday tightened security amid the threat of a possible historic indictment looming over former US President Donald Trump over payments to a porn actress.

In the event of his being accused, the former President has called upon his supporters to protest against it on a large scale.

Only a few dozen Trump supporters gathered in New York on Monday evening to protest on this issue.

The case pertains to payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in the year 2016.

If the indictment is filed, Trump would be the first former or current US president to be charged with a crime.

This step will also prove to be a setback for his chances for the 2024 US presidential election.

Meanwhile, Trump claimed in his latest post on social media that he will be arrested on Tuesday as Manhattan prosecutors are about to charge him in the 'hush money' case. 

This case of Trump is related to porn film actress Stormy Daniels.

It is alleged that Trump had an affair with Stormy and to hide its information, he paid an amount of one lakh 30 thousand dollars to Daniels in the year 2016.

Prosecutors are considering whether to charge Trump in the case.

If the Manhattan District Attorney convicts former President Trump, he will become the first former president to be charged with a crime.

Trump's attorney said Friday evening that his client would surrender to face criminal charges if indicted by a Manhattan grand jury.

Significantly, Trump has been denying having a relationship with Daniels.
