Russia launched strategic bombers with fighter jets over the Sea of Japan ahead of the Japanese Prime Minister's visit to Ukraine.

Russian media of mass propaganda write about it.

As noted, the Russian planes, which can carry nuclear weapons on board, apparently performed a "planned raft" in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Sea of Japan.

"The duration of the flight was more than seven hours.

The fighter escort was provided by the crews of the Su-30cm and Su-35s aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Eastern Military District," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

At the same time, Reuters writes that in this way the Russian Federation is trying to "demonstrate its strength", which is why it regularly launches aircraft over international waters in the Arctic, North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

It will be recalled that British and German fighter jets intercepted Russian planes flying near Estonian airspace.
