COVID-19 UPDATE: There has been some increase in the daily cases of corona in India in the past days.
In the last 24 hours, 699 new cases of corona have been registered in the country.
It is a matter of relief that this number is less than the number of cases (918) registered on Monday.
The Daily Positive Rate is currently 0.71% while the Weekly Positive Rate is 0.91%.
The number of active cases of corona in India is currently 6,559.
The rate of active cases is currently 0.01%.
In the last 24 hours, 435 corona patients have also recovered (recovery rate 98.79%).
With this, the total number of people recovering from Corona has reached 4,41,59,617.
In the last 24 hours, 97,866 tests of Korana were done in the country, including this, 92.04 crore tests have been done so far.
In the last 24 hours, 7,463 doses of the vaccine were given.
Significantly, last week, on Saturday, more than 800 cases of corona virus infection were registered in the country in a single day.
Official data on Saturday said that Jharkhand and Maharashtra reported one death each from Corona, while two deaths were reported from Kerala. Amid this increase in Corona cases, the Center has written a letter to six states. Have written that they should focus on controlling the sudden increase in viral infection.
The Union Health Secretary wrote a letter to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka last week, asking them to emphasize on testing, treatment, tracking and vaccination.
In its letter written to six states, the Health Ministry had said that there are some states where more number of cases are coming up.
This is indicating a possible local spread of the infection.
A risk assessment-based approach needs to be followed to prevent infection.
