Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the Center has stalled the presentation of his government's budget.

New Delhi :

Slamming Chief Minister

Arvind Kejriwal

, the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that he

was creating

controversies over the Delhi government's budget to seek "cheap popularity" and hide his mistakes.

Addressing a press conference here, BJP's Delhi unit's working president Virendra Sachdeva said Kejriwal was blaming the Center and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to divert attention from the corruption charges against the Delhi government.

Sachdeva said, "The Kejriwal-led government suppressed the clarification sought by the Home Ministry for three days and then accused the Center of stalling the budget." Delhi's budget was to be presented in the assembly on Tuesday and for this prior approval from the Center is necessary.

The Chief Minister has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that this is the first time in 75 years that the budget of any state has been stopped.

In his letter, Kejriwal has written, "For the first time in the country's 75-year history, the budget of any state has been stopped. Why are you angry with us Delhiites? Please do not stop the Delhi budget. Delhiites are praying to you with folded hands." Pass the budget." Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said, "I don't remember that in the history of India or the whole world, it has happened that the budget has to come and the central government stops the budget. This is shameful. They made fun of democracy. It is going. G-20 countries are coming to India, what will they see?"
