The Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhii Nayev, believes that currently the Russian army

does not have the forces and means to conduct an offensive in other directions

, except in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

However, Russia

is trying to feign offensive actions in the Zaporozhye direction

, he said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, considering the fact that the Russian Federation has concentrated its efforts to develop the offensive in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, there are not enough forces and means to conduct offensive actions in other operational areas.

"However, the Russians are trying to create the impression that they are preparing offensive actions in other operational areas, primarily in Zaporizhzhia, in order to divert the attention of our military command," Nayev said.

It will be recalled that military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi explained the significance of Putin's visits to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

According to him, the visit signals that the occupiers are preparing to retreat.
