Political analyst Armen Chibukhchyan believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the occupied Crimea and Mariupol out of desperation.

He realizes that the spring counteroffensive of the Defense Force is imminent, and that is why he is panicking.

Chibukhchyan expressed this opinion for Channel 24.

According to the analyst, the Russian president is aware that Ukraine dictates the Kremlin's

agenda today .

"Putin boasted that they made the Sea of Azov their home. But if Ukraine goes to Mariupol, cuts off Russia's land corridor to Crimea, regains control over the Sea of Azov and threatens the peninsula, then what will happen to Putin in Russia itself now and it is difficult to predict. That is why he went to Mariupol out of desperation," he said.

Chibukhchyan hopes that the Ukrainian General Staff has prepared a successful plan that, in his opinion, will drive Putin into disaster.

The Russian dictator himself understands this.

The analyst also added that he is currently observing an interesting background to the big victory.
