Travelers at Greek airports were 51 percent more in January and February 2023 compared to the first two months of 2022, Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias said, quoted by ANA-MPA.

According to data from Fraport Greece, the number of passengers who passed through the airports reached over 1.1 million people, BTA reported.

At the country's regional airports, international flights saw increases of 13.1 and 11.8 percent in the first two months of the year compared to last year, and passenger numbers rose 60.6 and 42 percent compared to January and February 2022

"January and February herald an exceptional year for tourism," the Greek tourism minister wrote in a post on Twitter.
