There were reports of power outages in Shilin and Beitou districts at night.

[Reporter Cai Sipei/Taipei Report] There was a power outage in Shilin and Beitou districts of Taipei City at 7:40 p.m., Shezi Street, and Yanping North Road Sections 5, 6, and 8 were temporarily out of power.
Taipower stated that the 69kV UHV line in Shezi tripped, causing about 29,000 users in the Shezi area to lose power, and more than 50% of the power has been restored so far.
There was a power outage in Shilin and Beitou districts tonight, and the streets were pitch-black. Residents posted on Facebook that "the city is dark" and "why is there a power outage?" The affected areas include Shezi Street, Yanping North Road 5 , Sections 6 and 8, and Section 4 of Chongqing North Road.

Taipei City Councilor Chen Cihui's office stated that the fourth section of Chongqing North Road, the sixth section of Yanping North Road, and Shezhong Street alleys are still out of power. Taipower has notified Taipower to find out the cause and repair it. It will also be notified to Taipower.
Taipower stated that at 7:41 tonight, the Shezi 69kV UHV line tripped, affecting the Shezi Substation and the Shilin Substation, resulting in power outages for about 29,302 users in the Shezi area.
Taipower immediately switched supply and repaired, and more than 50% (15,293 households) have been restored to power. Other users are gradually restoring power. Taipower also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the power outage.
