In the Central African Republic, a group of unknown people attacked a gold mine owned by a Chinese company.

Nine Chinese citizens were killed during the attack, and mercenaries of the Russian

PMV "Wagner" are suspected in the attack.

The Associated Press writes about it.

It is noted that the attack was blamed on a group of armed rebels.

But there they came out with a statement that they were not involved in the attack and instead blamed the "Wagners".

Initially, the rebel "Coalition of Patriots for Change" (KPZ) was suspected in the attack.

However, on the same day, their "spokesman" shifted the responsibility to the "Wagners".

The attack on the Chimbolo gold mine took place around 5 am.

The rebels say that the attack by the "Wagnerians" was aimed at intimidating the Chinese and gaining a foothold in this part of the country.

It is worth noting that over the past year, PMC "Wagner" has significantly expanded its activities in the Central African Republic.

The profits of mercenaries from gold mining in the country can grow to almost a billion dollars.

Earlier, the military-political analyst of the "Information Resistance" group, Oleksandr Kovalenko, said that thanks to the "Wagner" PMC, Russia is an aggressor country

began to penetrate the territory of Africa.

In particular, Moscow is spreading its influence on the territories of Libya, Mozambique, CAR, Mali, Eritrea, etc.

Russian political analyst Olga Kurnosova says that Vladimir

Putin is trying to enlist the support of African countries at the UN

 regarding the war in Ukraine.

The trips of his Belarusian ally Alexander Lukashenko and the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov to Zimbabwe and Eswatini are connected with this.
