learned  from Bulgarian MEPs.

In Brussels, Geshev will have meetings with representatives of several committees and members of various political groups of the European Parliament.

For the moment, the prosecutor's office has not informed about the upcoming visit.

The visit of the chief prosecutor to the EP takes place a few days after the revelations of a ready conspiracy to discredit and eliminate Ivan Geshev himself, as well as to remove other magistrates and police chiefs.

The prosecutor's office claims that the authors of the conspiracy are oligarchs, a well-known crime boss from the Transition, leading political parties and journalists.

In the presentation presented by the state prosecution last Thursday, which contained recordings of phone conversations, there was one in which Krasimir Kamenov, better known by his nickname "Kuro", told an aide that they had prepared a tip from an MEP against Geshev.

In an interview on Saturday, Ivan Geshev made it clear that it is possible that the investigation will lead to more scandalous revelations about the cooked-up conspiracy connecting active politicians with representatives of organized crime.

According to the chief prosecutor, some of the information seized during the searches is still classified.

Ivan Geshev: He who walks on crooked roads will fall precipitously

According to information at the upcoming meetings with MEPs, the chief prosecutor will also raise the issue of political attacks against the judiciary and personal pressure for his removal.

Ivan Geshev's thesis is that the bill to change the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law on Judicial Power, proposed by the Acting Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov, providing for a simplified procedure for the investigation and removal of the chief prosecutor, contradicts the Constitution and violates one of the main principles of The European Union – the rule of law.

Last week, Geshev absently asked Minister Zarkov - who is the author of the bill and whether it was written outside the Ministry of Justice.

Bulgarian MEPs expect the chief prosecutor in the Belgian capital to raise the issue of the malicious Russian influence in Bulgaria and the region.

Moreover, the topic was leading during Ivan Geshev's visit to Washington at the end of January.
