The victim alleges that he was thrashed with sticks.

New Delhi:

A 29-year-old businessman and his friend were allegedly assaulted by bouncers at a five-star hotel in Janpath area.

In a purported video of the incident, bouncers are seen approaching a group of men and a fight ensues between the two sides.

Bouncers are also seen thrashing, punching and kicking the victims.

Police said the victim and his friend had an argument with the bouncers outside a club in the hotel over entry into the establishment.

Police said the alleged incident took place on March 8 when the businessman, his wife and their friends had gone to the hotel for a Holi party.

The victim was out with his friend while his wife was inside the club.

But when he tried to go inside at around 7-8 in the evening, the bouncers stopped him.

Police said they alleged that the bouncers did not let them inside on the grounds that 'stag' entry was not allowed and abused them.

The victim alleges that he was thrashed with sticks.

A police officer said that he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and a case has been registered.
