The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, denied media reports that 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers allegedly died at the front.

Danilov said this in an interview with "Interfax-Ukraine".

"I declare to you with full responsibility that we do not have 100,000 casualties among the military. This is impossible. Our military knows the exact number, the president knows. During the war, this is closed information, but 100,000 is absolutely not true," the secretary assured NSDO

According to him, the ratio of losses is currently 1 to 7, 1 to 8, in some cases 1 to 10 in favor of the Armed Forces.

"After the 2014 war, we knew how to fight, but Russia didn't have that. In many areas, their losses were simply insane," Danilov explained.

Commenting on the situation in Bakhmut, he also noted that the Armed Forces foiled the occupiers' third offensive plan.

That's why "the Russians can't move on and are throwing their people into Bakhmut like a cauldron."

We will remind you that on March 15, the American publication Politico published an article in which it was said that over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers died or were wounded during a year of full-scale war at the front.

In November of last year, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the losses of the Ukrainian military allegedly amounted to 100,000 people killed.

Later, the European Commission explained the mistake of its head, saying that this figure was taken from external sources and related to the loss of killed and wounded and "was intended to show the brutality of Russia."

The President's Office stated that

only the Commander-in-Chief, the Minister of Defense or the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine should provide

reliable information about Ukraine's losses  .

Ukraine officially announced the number of its losses back in August.

Then the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi said that almost 9,000 Ukrainian heroes died in the war with the Russian Federation.
