Representatives of military commissions do not have the right to check the documents of conscript Ukrainians.

Lawyer Taras Nikyforchuk stated this on his YouTube channel and gave advice.

Employees of the National Police have the right to check documents, but they must explain their actions.

According to the lawyer, phrases like "we don't like you", "you're not like that" should not be heard during the inspection.

"There must be a target on you, there must be some case related to a crime, or you pass through a roadblock - in such cases, you must show the documents to the police officers," said the lawyer.

The lawyer added that the wording from the policemen's mouth "we are at war, martial law has been introduced" is not the reason for checking the documents.

He also says that Ukrainians are not obliged to carry documents with them all the time, so responsibility for this cannot arise.

We would like to add that Ukraine currently has a number of rules for serving summonses at work and giving notices.

It is also known that Ukrainians of conscription age who were abroad may be held administratively liable upon their return.
