New Delhi:

All the FIRs registered against Congress leader Pawan Khera in the case of indecent remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his father will be transferred to Hazratganj police station in Lucknow.

The Supreme Court gave this decision on Monday (March 20).

Along with this, the Supreme Court has extended the interim bail given to Kheda till 10 April.

Along with this, the Congress leader has also been asked to file an application for regular bail in the Lucknow court.

A total of 3 FIRs including one in Assam and 2 in UP have been registered against Congress leader Pawan Kheda.

The Assam Police arrested him in Delhi on February 23, but an apology was sought on his behalf in the Supreme Court on his statement.

After this, he got interim bail on the day of his arrest.

During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said in the court- 'We have no problem in clubbing the FIR.

It should be added to Assam and let the Assam Police investigate the matter.

On this CJI DY Chandrachud said- 'The first FIR has happened in Lucknow.

The practice is to link it to the place where the first FIR was lodged.

Earlier, Assam Police and UP Police had filed affidavits in the Supreme Court.

Assam Police demanded cancellation of the decision to grant interim bail to Pawan Kheda.

The police argued that no apology can be sought after the crime has been committed.

Only his lawyer has said that Pawan Kheda has apologised.

Whereas, Kheda himself has not apologised.

The talk made in this court of apology appears to be a strategy to obtain a protective order without any genuine remorse or remorse.

In the counter affidavit of the prosecution i.e. Uttar Pradesh and Assam Police, it has been said that as per the claim, Pawan Kheda had not apologised.

This was a criminal act.

There is no point in apologizing in this.

Even after the hearing of the case in the court, that political party campaigned on social media.

Their interim bail or protection should be abolished.

Out of the many options available in the law, they can defend themselves by adopting the appropriate option for themselves.

To this the CJI said, 'We will increase his protection and give him time to apply for regular bail.'

The Solicitor General said, "The counsel for the petitioner says that the petitioner has apologised, but the petitioner has not apologised."

The CJI said, 'We accept the apology sought by the counsel for the petitioner.'

Solicitor General said- 'A constitutional dignitary as PM has been defamed, derogatory remarks have been made.

Withdraw the interim relief.

Pawan Kheda should seek relief under CrPC.

What is the allegation against Pawan Kheda?

In the FIR, Congress leader Pawan Kheda has been accused of deliberately insulting PM Modi.

According to the BJP, Kheda intentionally misspelled the name of PM Modi's father.

After this, instead of rectifying the mistake, he laughed the matter off.
