A major accident flooded "Peter Stoev" and "Stefan Stambolov" streets in Plovdiv's "Yuzhen" district.

This was informed by local residents, who added that the situation is dire, and water is pouring out in large quantities on the road arteries, reports "24 Chasa".

The cause of the accident was damage to a water pipe during excavation work on the Southern Bypass Collector.

Plumbing teams are already working to repair the damage.

Water supply is expected to be restored by 6 p.m.

Due to an accident, there will be no water on "Velyo Voivoda" street at 5 p.m.

Those living on Sergei Rumyantsev Street, where the water supply line is currently being moved by an external company, are also dry. At this stage, it is not yet clear when the water will be released there.

In the Plovdiv region, Peruštitsa, Brestovitsa and Zhitnitsa are dry due to damage to the network.
