Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin made a number of statements during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Moscow.

"We are even a little jealous of you," Putin said.

Also, according to the Russian president, it is under the leadership of Xi Jinping that China will continue to develop and achieve its goals.

And in general, Russia and China have many "common tasks and goals", Putin believes.

Regarding Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, Putin noted that the Russian Federation has carefully read the Chinese plan for a "peaceful settlement in Ukraine" and "respects China's initiatives in this regard.

At the same time, Ukraine expects Xi Jinping to influence Russian President Putin to end the war in Ukraine.

This was said by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko.

He emphasized that Ukraine is ready for a closer dialogue with China in order to restore peace. 

It will be recalled that Putin, on the eve of Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow, said that he was allegedly ready for a "political-diplomatic settlement" of the war against Ukraine.
