Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, emphasized that the Russian terrorists hoped for a quick victory in the war, but the heroism of the Armed Forces soldiers stopped them in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. 

He wrote about it on Twitter. 

"Russian military logic in one sentence: 'We could take Kyiv, Warsaw, Berlin and The Hague in just 3-4 days... But we went through Bakhmut. Bakhmut is a place of heroes,'" wrote Podolyak.

Battles for Bakhmut 

Fierce fighting has been going on for several months in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

Russian terrorists are trying to surround this city, but there they encountered stiff resistance from the Ukrainian army. 

Military Volodymyr Nazarenko said that the Russian command changed the tactics of fighting near Bakhmut in Donetsk region.

The occupiers are currently trying to exert continuous pressure on the positions of the Armed Forces.

Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, the spokesman of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria region, believes that the next target of the occupiers may be Avdiyivka, which terrorists from the Russian Federation are constantly shelling and trying to storm.
