Chinese President

Xi Jinping

will visit Moscow to help Russian President Vladimir Putin get out of the "Ukrainian situation".

Beijing benefits from the Kremlin dictator remaining in power.

This opinion was expressed by the Russian political scientist and publicist Andriy Piontkovsky.

"Xi Jinping feels that Putin has been defeated. And the fact of Russia's defeat itself does not embarrass China. China views Russia as a territory for absorption. He is worried that in the event of the defeat of the Russian Federation, the probability of Putin's loss of power increases. Beijing views Putin as the head of a pro-China party in Russia. In the event of an obvious crushing defeat for Russia and Putin's loss of power, whatever power comes in will not be so pleasing to China. And one of the charges that will be brought against former President Putin is that he betrayed Russia's economic and geopolitical interests in the Far Go east," explained Piontkovsky.

Piontkovsky also noted that China's strategy is to ensure the so-called "soft defeat of Russia."

A defeat that Putin would be able to sell to his deep-seated people as an honorable draw.

Something like the option of returning to the borders on February 23, 2022.

"He is going to his vassal, which is unprecedented for a Chinese emperor, so the mission is too important - to save Putin. He wants to provide him with some soft version of defeat - return to the line on February 23, 2022, so that he can stay in power. It is important to him , because Putin is pursuing a policy of surrendering a position, 15 years of surrendering economic political positions in the Far East, in Siberia and China, it suits him. After the crushing defeat of Russia, Putin will not be able to resist and any person who will come to review Putin's policy to crawl in front of China That is why it is important for Xi to keep Putin in power, and for this he must be allowed to get out of the Ukrainian situation," the political scientist summarized.

It will be recalled that

the President of China may soon visit the Russian Federation.

The plans for Xi Jinping's visit come after China offered its services as a mediator between the countries, an offer met with skepticism in the West, given Beijing's diplomatic support for Moscow.

After that,

Xi Jinping plans to talk with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
