"We, as the government, are aware of our legal obligations," said the press secretary of the President of South Africa,

Vincent Magwenya

.

He also added that South Africa will continue to consult with relevant parties before the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit.

It was expected that the President of Russia will visit the South African Republic in August 2023 to participate in the summit of leaders of the BRICS countries, but there is no official confirmation of this yet.
