Germany will be obliged to arrest the president-dictator of the Russian Federation,

Vladimir Putin

, if he comes to the country.

This was stated by the Minister of Justice of Germany, Marko Buschmann, Zeit writes.

According to the head of the Ministry of Justice, if the head of the Kremlin crosses the country's border, the International Criminal Court will quickly turn to Interpol to execute an arrest warrant.

"Then Germany will be obliged to arrest President Putin if he enters German territory and hand him over to the International Criminal Court," the minister said.

Bushmann noted that the International Criminal Court, unlike national law enforcement agencies, can arrest presidents.

Dictator Putin's arrest warrant

The International Criminal Court

as well as Russia's commissioner for children's affairs, Maria Lvova-Belova, due to crimes committed in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

In particular, it is about the illegal deportation of children to the Russian Federation.

 , the Russian Foreign Ministry said that this body "has no powers" on the territory of Russia.

 According to Maria Zakharova, "Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and bears no obligations towards it. Russia does not cooperate with this body."

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that

the arrest warrant for dictator Vladimir Putin 

shows that no one can stand above the law. 

According to the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, the decision to issue an

arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin "is only the beginning of the process"

At most, the dictator will not be able to avoid responsibility for crimes against Ukraine.
