- Ukrainians write to us to preserve our native language and replace Russian.

This will allow us to remain Belarusians and become free.

Or do you agree with this?

- This is a matter of choosing values: to be Belarusian or Russian.

Common human values, including freedom, grow only on national soil.

I remember the hero of one film, an Estonian, greatly surprised another hero, a Chechen, when he said: "Words of an Estonian!"

The Chechen seethed: "It is we, the Chechens, who keep our word!"

To which the Estonian waved his hand: "What's the difference: an Estonian, a Chechen..." Common values never grow on imperial soil, because the emperor always sees himself as higher than others, "great."

- Who is the most important person in modern Belarusian literature for schoolchildren to know?

Five names, from the living.

- Five will not work, at least twice as many.

Those who, despite all their other talents and achievements, became present in the public space, i.e. "familiar names", whose knowledge you can boast of: Vladimir Orlov, Algerd Bakhorevich, Eva Vezhnavets, Adam Glyobus, Nastya Kudasava, Maria Martysevich, Vladimir Nyaklyaev, Anna Sevyarynets, Andrey Khadanovich, Yulia Timofeeva.

Of course, those who should be known and read are five or ten times more painful.

- Belarus began to inflame the "cold war" - for what?

- It is important to call a spade a spade.

Belarus has never done this in its history, is not doing it and, I am convinced, will not do it.

We cannot identify our country, which we can only love, with the current regime, which only knows how to inflame cold and hot wars, primarily against Belarus and Belarusians, while having nothing to do with Belarus and Belarusians, which operates exclusively in the interests of the personal power of one person and the Kremlin to the extent that his activity seems beneficial to the Kremlin.

- What is the national color of Belarus?

The foreigner asked, I thought about red, and about white, and about green

- Our famous designer Michal Anempadistov spoke about gray.

There is a book of his called "Color of Belarus".

He said this: "Or, let's say, gray: in folk culture, animals are the heroes of lullabies, fairy tales are all gray.

Gray is like a talisman, like a zone of peace and security."

It is not for nothing that Belarusians call the current colors of the regime agrotrash.

No peace and a complete embodiment of trouble, danger.

Michal said: "Grey is the most beautiful color.

And the flag is white-red-white."

So give it to a foreigner.

- You said that Lithuanians are mentally closest to Belarusians.

And how are they different from us, if we don't talk about language?

— Lithuanians rank with their population.

Not only because they are three times smaller than us.

We stopped protecting ourselves as Belarusians as a result of 200 years of Russification.

In Lithuania, for example, everyone who was deported to Siberia or killed by the Bolsheviks, who fought for freedom, is known by name - memorials have been erected to literally all of them.

It is impossible to imagine such a thing in our country - the very call to protect ourselves as a people sounds seditious.

And here is the result: during the years of Lukashenka's rule, Belarusians became one million (!) less.

The number of Lithuanians has not changed to some extent.

- How to stop quarrels in a democratic environment?

- We need to take care of political hygiene.

It is clear that many quarrels are inspired by provocateurs.

But most often, strangely enough, the reason is our Belarusian patience or inflexibility.

If, for example, someone told an obvious lie about another or deliberately insulted, such a person cannot have faith in other things as well.

There can be no interaction with such a person.

Unfortunately, this rule is often ignored, which eventually leads to scandals.

The democratic center is formed as a collective and not alone.

And taking care of the unity of the team and community creativity, one cannot ignore moral sloppiness.

Otherwise, there will be neither a team nor creativity.

- What should change in Russians so that they stop wanting war?

- We need them to stop imagining themselves as exceptional and become a normal nation.

For this they must find their non-imperial identity.

Muscovites, Urals, as Putin says.

Only he is afraid of it, and for the whole world it is an exit from the war.

However, no noticeable movements in this direction are visible.

After all, the movements will begin when different parts of the Russian Empire, the same Uralians, will begin to respond to this name, look for new opportunities in it and unite.
