9,771 motor vehicles were checked as part of the ordered specialist police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

2,662 slips and 656 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations, reports the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.

Within the past day, a total of 36 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after drinking alcohol - 21 of them drove after drinking alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 15 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, and two refused to be tested.

14 people were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and four refused to be tested.

2911 motor vehicles and 3115 drivers and passengers were checked from the aggregated data using the "linear control" method;

for detected violations, 815 slips and 182 AUAN were drawn up.
