Western partners of Ukraine remembered this day, once again expressed their support for Ukraine and emphasized that the occupation of the peninsula is illegal.

In Finland, it was emphasized that the occupation of the peninsula and the war unleashed by the dictator Putin 

violates international law and the UN Charter.

In turn, Turkey emphasized that 

voted on the illegitimacy of the "referendum" held by the Russian Federation in Crimea in 2014, and years later this position remains steadfast.

"On the anniversary of the annexation, we reiterate that we do not recognize this loss, and confirm our support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," the Turkish Foreign Ministry emphasized.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden published a poster on Twitter, emphasizing that all cities occupied by Russia are Ukraine.

"Sweden does not and will never recognize Russia's illegal annexation of Ukrainian territory.

We will continue our unwavering support to Ukraine," the message reads.

Today marks the anniversary of Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Simultaneously 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia stated that 

the country did not recognize and will never recognize the results of fictitious referendums and Russia's attempts to illegally annex the occupied Ukrainian territories.

Latvia recognizes the territorial unity of Ukraine within its internationally defined borders.

"Russia bears full responsibility for its aggression against Ukraine. 

Those responsible for the crime of aggression against Ukraine and inhumane crimes committed by the armed forces of Russia against the civilian population and military personnel of Ukraine must be brought to justice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia reminded what the map of Ukraine actually looks like and emphasized that Ukraine is Luhansk, Donetsk Oblasts, and Crimea.

"Today is exactly 9 years since the Russian Federation illegally annexed the Crimean peninsula. We clearly remember the fake referendum organized by the Kremlin, which defiantly violates the sovereignty of Ukraine. Let's not forget - Crimea is Ukraine," - stressed in Estonia.
