Illegal dumping of dead animals brought the institutions to a standstill.

It is located by the international road E-79 near Mezdra.

An international driver alerted the mayor of the Mezdren village Tipchenitsa that not only all kinds of construction and household waste, but also dozens of sacks with animal carcasses and animal bones were dumped in the Mala Reka near the international road E-79, and the area had an unbearable smell of carrion .

The mayor notified the institutions.

"There are all kinds of bags of biological waste here.

Skeletons of cows, thrown sheep, we haven't checked it all yet.

It obviously costs money to throw this away, it obviously costs money and someone has decided that they can indiscriminately poison people like this," commented Tipchenitsa Mayor Georgi Georgiev.

The problem is that the water catchment for the village of Tipchenitsa is in the river.

"We are on the verge of an ecological disaster - this is where this biological waste is dumped, about 600-700 meters down is our water intake, the pipes are exposed in the river, and if stones fall from the construction of the road they are making and the pipes burst , everything will go down the drain for the population of the village of Tipchenitsa," the governor said.

Yesterday, the area was inspected by representatives of the Food Agency.

Animal waste is being considered to be incinerated with a mobile incinerator on site to avoid the need for transport.

And the perpetrators are being sought.
