[Reporter Yang Mianjie/Taipei Report] During last year's election, the National Development Institute of National Taiwan University was involved in the controversy over academic ethics. Therefore, National Taiwan University decided last year to add the words "on-the-job special class" on the graduation certificates of graduates of the full-time special class. The feelings of the students who have already enrolled, passed the exception clause yesterday, that is, only students enrolled in the 112th academic year are eligible for remarking. National Taiwan University believes that other schools will follow up after evaluating. At the same time, the focus should be to strengthen special teachers and teaching to attract students.

It was a resolution made at the first academic affairs meeting held by National Taiwan University in the first semester of the 111 academic year to fully add "on-the-job special class" to the degree certificate of the master's in-service professional class. However, it subsequently aroused doubts about the principle of trust protection. During the first academic affairs meeting in the second semester of the academic year, some students proposed that sunset clauses should be drawn up to protect the rights and interests of students in the on-the-job special classes.

Yesterday, the backstage of the meeting also issued a statement saying that the representatives at the meeting agreed that the relevant text should be fully annotated on the graduation certificate, but considering the mood of the current professional students who have passed the 111th academic year in the meeting, the current professional students, The existing regulations that do not need to be added can be used, but the in-service professional class students enrolled in the 112th academic year have to add the words "in-service professional class" on the graduation certificate.

Regarding the discussions at the academic affairs meeting yesterday, Wang Hongren, dean of National Taiwan University, attended the first school affairs meeting of the second semester of the 2011 academic year and stated that the case was mainly proposed by the graduate student association, and the resolution of the previous meeting should not be changed, that is, the graduate certificate should be marked Under the premise of the words "professional professional class", the exception clause is mainly considered for the graduate students who have already enrolled, because they enrolled before the discussion started, respect their feelings, and obtain the consent of the participating committee members.

As for the introduction of such regulations by National Taiwan University, whether it may become a future trend, Wang Hongren explained that National Taiwan University currently has 25 in-service special classes, and 12 special classes have been filled before, especially newly established special classes. Other schools should consider following up in the future, but the most important thing is to strengthen the teachers and teaching attractiveness of special classes, and return to the essence of teaching special classes to attract students. This should be the consensus of everyone.
