- four people are known to have died.

The Brazilian fire service reported that the rotorcraft crashed on one of the streets of Sao Paulo, the largest metropolis in South America. 

The fire service, which is part of the Sao Paulo state military police, added that nine vehicles were damaged in the accident and that it was still "awaiting more information".

According to local media, the helicopter was classified as a Robinson R44 Raven II, believed to be owned by an air taxi company.

According to the Brazilian Helicopter Pilots Association, there are 411 private helicopters registered in São Paulo with 2,200 daily flights as of 2021.

It will be recalled that in India,
