[Reporter Zhang Xuanzhe/Taichung Report] Recently, the water situation in the south is severe, and there has been no heavy rain in the central region since the beginning of the year. Executive Premier Chen Jianren led a team to Ma'anba to inspect the water situation of Dajia River. Said that compared with today's 100-year drought in the previous year, the water storage rate of Deji Reservoir is only 8%, but today Deji Reservoir still has 60%, and the water supply in the central part is stable; in this regard, Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan said that Taichung had a drought warning two years ago. However, if there is no rain in the next few months, there may be another drought. We call on the central government to adjust the water situation lights so that the public can save water earlier.

Wang Meihua said today that every year from mid-February to March 15th is the period of spring plowing of farmland. Farmers have to flood the fields with water for farming. The water used for agriculture is greater than the water used for people's livelihood. The amount of water will be relatively normal. At present, the release of water from the Deji Reservoir for downstream people's livelihood and agricultural use is very cautious.

Lu Xiuyan said that because the future rainfall situation is unknown, the water storage capacity of the Deji Reservoir has dropped from 80% in February to about 60% in less than a month. Reporting worry, because Taichung faced a century-old drought two years ago, but if there is less rain in the next four months, it is difficult to say whether the millennium drought will come. Fortunately, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Taichung City Government have dispatched due to water use in the past two years, coupled with timely rain , but this year we must prevent and prepare in advance.
