This is how Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, commented on the relevant decision.

"The world has changed... That's why the ICC issued a specific warrant for the arrest of... "strategist" Putin? 1.

This is a specific signal from the Russian Federation to the elites. What will happen to them next. And why it won't be "as before"

... 2. This is the beginning of the end of the Russian Federation in its current form on on the world stage. 3. This is a direct legal procedure. Please wait..." - said Podolyak's statement to the Network.

At the same time, the head of the OP Andriy Yermak explained that the arrest warrants for Putin and the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova mean that

both can be arrested on the territory of countries that have ratified the Rome Statute.

"I would like to remind you that Ukraine systematically cooperates with the International Criminal Court. The Coordinating Council of Ukraine for the Protection and Safety of Children also works, whose task is to stop the forcible transfer or deportation of children from Ukraine to the Russian Federation and the return and reunification of families in accordance with the interests of the child and the international rights," Yermak said in a statement.

He noted that more than 16,000 cases of forced deportation of children were recorded

in the proceedings being investigated in Ukraine  .

And the real numbers can be many times higher.

At the same time, it was possible to return 308 children to Ukraine.

It will be recalled that on March 17, the ICC in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Putin and Lvova-Belova on suspicion of illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin explained that now Putin has the status of a suspect and must be arrested and brought to court outside the Russian Federation.
