Russia

will lose its military influence in other post-Soviet countries.

In particular, in Armenia.

Since Moscow redeployed its forces from there for the war against Ukraine.

This is stated in a report by analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

ISW emphasizes that for the war in Ukraine, the Russians redeployed their forces from Kyrgyzstan, occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as Tajikistan.

In addition, last year in March, the Russian Federation redeployed units of the 15th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade from Nagorno-Karabakh.

In June 2022, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that Ukrainian troops had seriously damaged this brigade.

At that time, about 800 occupiers were eliminated, and approximately 400 people were wounded.

As of June last year, about 1,800 servicemen of the brigade took part in the war.

ISW analysts note that the number of Russian "peacekeeping forces" in Nagorno-Karabakh has become insufficient for Armenia to feel safe.

Thus, on March 16, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused Azerbaijan of preparing a new large-scale attack and genocide against ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to him, Yerevan will turn to the UN Security Council if the Kremlin is unable to support the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, concluded on November 9, 2020 through the mediation of Moscow.

It will be recalled that the leader of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, may visit Moscow next week, where he plans to meet with dictator Vladimir Putin.

Volodymyr Kopchak, head of the South Caucasian branch of the Army Conversion and Disarmament Research Center,

says that the risk of China supplying weapons to the Russian Federation remains quite high

.

Back in January-February 2022, Xi Jinping at least blessed this war.
