The Bulgarian cultural club in Skopje was attacked

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also came out with a position that it is following with concern the latest developments in North Macedonia.

The reason is the ban - the Bulgarian cultural club in Bitola bears the name of the last leader of VMRO

VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement (VMRO–BND) is a nationalist Bulgarian politician Ivan Mihailov.

So in practice the club has to change its name and request a new registration.

"The founders of the club have said that they will seek their rights in Strasbourg, but there are other clubs that continue to operate," Antonia Veleva said.
