The Russian occupiers are trying to advance along the entire eastern front line, but the Ukrainian defenders, despite everything, have partial success in some areas.

This was stated by the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Military Media Center reports.

According to him, the occupiers are trying to break through the defense of our soldiers and advance deep into their battle formations.

The fiercest battles are taking place in the districts of Kreminnaya, Torsky, Belogorivka and Spirny.

Bakhmut remains the epicenter of hostilities.

"The enemy has used all its forces and is trying to break through the defenses in several directions and completely surround the city. Battles are going on in the north, east and south of the city, thanks to the courage of our soldiers, the enemy is suffering huge losses and is retreating again without success," said Sirskyi.

The commander of the Ground Forces added that, unfortunately, the Armed Forces also have losses, but much less than the Russians.

In some areas, our units have partial success.

It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are on the defensive in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, in order to eliminate as many Russians there as possible.

This is the prerequisite for a successful counteroffensive.

Oleksiy Melnyk, co-director of foreign policy and international security programs at the Razumkov Center, told about it.
