H3N2 virus is spreading rapidly in many states of the country.

So far 10 people have died across the country due to this virus.

The maximum effect of this virus is in Maharashtra.

A total of 352 cases of swine flu and H3N2 have been reported here so far.

Of these, there are 58 patients suffering from H3N2.

The news of second death due to H3N2 influenza has come to light in the state.

A 73-year-old man has died of H3N2 in Pimpri-Chinchwad of Pune district. 

On March 8, concerned elderly people were admitted to Pimpri Chinchwad's Yashwantrao Chavan Municipal Hospital with complaints of fever and cold.

He was kept in ICU after checkup.

The patients were in the condition of comorbidity.

He also had respiratory and heart ailments.

He died during treatment on Thursday.

Earlier, a 23-year-old MBBS student from Ahmednagar died during treatment.

All the people who came in contact with that student are being investigated.

CM Shinde held a meeting with the Health Department


CM Eknath Shinde held an important meeting with the Health Department on Thursday in view of the increasing threat of H3N2.

State Health Minister Tanaji Sawant said that patients infected with H3N2 virus are being treated.

Hospitals have been put on alert.

He said that the H3N2 virus is not fatal.

It can be cured through treatment, so there is no need to panic.

H3N2 virus found in 79% samples


Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry has informed that H3N2 virus has been found in about 79% of the influenza samples tested in the lab.

After this, influenza B Victoria virus has been found in 14% of the samples.

Influenza A H1N1 virus has been found in 7%.

H1N1 is also called swine flu in common language.
