Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met MP Kirori Lal Meena on Friday.

Jaipur:

On Friday, youths in Dausa took out an outrage rally and protested by burning an effigy in front of the district collectorate against the alleged ill-treatment of BJP Rajya Sabha member Kirori Lal Meena by the police in the Veerangana case.

Police said that the supporters of the MP have sat on an indefinite dharna in front of the District Collectorate demanding an apology from Minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal.

The youth took out a rally from near PG College to Collectorate at 11 am on Friday and raised slogans against the state government and the police.

The youths were carrying placards with anti-government slogans in their hands.

Hundreds of youth shouting slogans reached in front of the collectorate where the police had put up barricades.

Angry youth there shouted slogans in support of the MP and against the Congress government of the state and burnt the effigy.

The youth have demanded an apology from Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal and action against the guilty policemen for using the word terrorist for the MP in the assembly.

Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Harisingh said that after the Aakrosh rally, 10-12 supporters of BJP MP Kirori Meena have started an indefinite strike in front of the Dausa District Collectorate gate.

He told that his demand is that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dhariwal should apologize for the statement made against the MP in the House.

It is noteworthy that on Monday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal had used the word terrorist for BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Meena in the Assembly.

Due to injury while going to Chaumu to meet a heroine, he was admitted to the hospital in Jaipur from where he voluntarily went to Delhi for treatment.

Today Lok Sabha Speaker Shri @ombirlakota ji came to Delhi residence to inquire about his well being.

Instead of raising his voice for the rights of the heroines, the police tried to kill the Chief Minister who called himself a Gandhian.
