In the well-known Los Mártires park, the exchanges of candidates for the National Assembly of People's Power, including Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, for Santa Clara continue this Friday.

The dialogue began with the workers of Energy and Mines, a decisive sector in the country's economy, the Presidency reported on Twitter.

Together with representatives of the energy sector, the eight candidates listened to talk to committed young people, specialists who work tirelessly, linemen who, despite material shortages, get up every day willing to solve problems.

Clarita and Asiel, two of the candidates, recognized the self-sacrificing and committed work of this sector, which despite the difficult circumstances that Cuba is going through continues to accompany the performance of Popular Power and seek solutions to the problems of the people.

Díaz-Canel commented on the many obstacles that this sector has had to overcome in recent years and how they have managed to grow.

It is a source of pride, he said, to hear young people speak with the commitment that they have done.
