BJP MPs demand an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his remarks at Cambridge University, amidst loud slogans.

At the same time, the opposition parties are also besieging the government on many issues.

The Congress alleges that today the audio of the proceedings of the House was muted, while there was chaos inside the Parliament.

The Congress took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, repeating Rahul Gandhi's allegation that microphones of opposition leaders were muted in Parliament.

Rahul Gandhi was seen in the Lok Sabha for the second time today as his remarks sparked a controversy, but the house was adjourned till next week before any business could be transacted.

Rahul Gandhi has said that he wants to answer the allegations leveled against him in the House, but the BJP is adamant that he should apologize first.

Describing Rahul Gandhi's remarks as "disgusting and gravely insulting", BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla said Gandhi should apologize outside before going to Parliament.

He tweeted- "It is sad that the arrogance of 1st family is above the institution of Parliament? Rahul has made a disgusting and gravely offensive comment against our sovereignty by seeking foreign interference on foreign soil. If he is against Parliament If he is serious, he should have immediately apologized outside before resorting to Parliament. You cannot weaken Parliament and then resort to it. First apologize to the country."
