A scientific-practical seminar dedicated to the national dances of Azerbaijan was held at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, the seminar "Fundamentals of Azerbaijani dances" was organized by Eteri Jafarova, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, former lead soloist of Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble, head teacher of Baku Choreography Academy.

For the first time in the history of Azerbaijan's dance art, a seminar on our national dances was held at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.

Eteri Jafarova, an honorary academician of the International Academy of Choreography, currently an assistant trainee of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, gave detailed information about the musical history of Azerbaijan to the teachers and students of the academy during the seminar.

He spoke about the contributions of great musicians such as Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Bulbul, maestro Niyazi, Gilman Salahov to the musical history of Azerbaijan.

In the report in the form of a presentation, detailed information about prominent representatives of the national dance art of Azerbaijan was brought to the attention of the seminar participants.

Gamar Almaszade, the first ballerina in the East and in Azerbaijan, the outstanding choreographer, Amina Dilbazi, Roza Jalilova, Leyla Vakilova, Afag Malikova and other well-known dancers and choreographers spoke about their creativity.

The participants of the seminar were shown historical and modern video materials about the national dances of Azerbaijan, "yalli", "nalbaki", "wedding dance", "yellow bride" and others, with commentary by Eteri Jafarova.

Then the practical part of the seminar was held.

Honored artist Eteri Jafarova gave a master class on Azerbaijani dances to the students of the academy and talked about the methodology of Azerbaijani dances.

Young Russian dancers performed national dances of Azerbaijan under the leadership of Eteri Jafarova.

The head of the folk stage department of the Academy, professor, honored artist of Russia Inga Voronina said that she was satisfied with participating in the seminar led by Eteri Jafarova: "We love the national dances of the Caucasus very much.

We found the national dances of Azerbaijan very interesting.

You know, all master-classes and seminars become great when those who pass them become professionals in their field.

Eteri Jafarova is a professional in her profession, a great dancer.

This seminar and master class is very important for our academy and our students."

Tatyana Pashkova, head teacher of the academy, candidate of science in art science, said that Eteri Jafarova is a highly qualified specialist, a true professional: "During her studies at our academy, Eteri Jafarova staged three dances as a teacher, choreographer-ballet master, and tutor.

Our students learn and master many things from him.

I can say that Eteri Jafarova was able to attract our students with the beauty and poetry of Azerbaijani folk dances.

Nina Litvar, professor of the academy's department of ballet studies, said that Eteri Jafarova is open to education.

According to him, the dissertation that E. Jafarova will write about the national dances and culture of Azerbaijan will be useful for both Azerbaijan and Russian higher education.
