Two provinces in southeastern Turkey were hit by torrential rains and floods, leaving streets submerged and people trapped in floodwaters.

A video shows how a road splits in two due to the incoming water.

Other footage shows a truck being pulled from the water.

At least 10 people have died after heavy rains caused flash floods in Turkey's southeastern provinces of Sanliurfa and Adyaman, Turkish media reported on Wednesday.

The floods swept away cars, inundated the basements and ground floors of some buildings and turned roads into rivers, videos on social media showed.

Efforts to search and rescue the missing and buried people in the buildings continue with the help of divers and boats, bTV reported.
