The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic

Aleksandar Vucic - Serbian lawyer and politician. Aleksandar Vucic was born on March 5, 1970 in Belgrade.

said today that Serbia and Kosovo have presented to the European Union their demands for the normalization of relations, but the EU has not yet presented a proposal for an agreement in response, Serbian national TV RTS reported.

"We have not yet received a draft of what the EU wants.

I worked with them for three days on this matter.

We presented our proposal, the Albanians presented their proposal.

We have not received anything from Brussels so far and this document still does not exist," stressed Vucic in an address to the Serbian people.

The president explained that the proposals that the two sides have prepared for Brussels represent their vision for the agreement on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina and how to implement it.

"In the previous days, we talked about what is needed to achieve normalization of relations with Pristina.

Normalization for me is a euphemism for the recognition of Kosovo de facto and de jure.

The normalization that I think is necessary is to have better relations with the Albanians than we have at the moment and to try to live as much as possible together," Vucic said.

He emphasized that the meeting in Ohrid on March 18 is not "any fateful day".

"Let's continue to work for the normalization of relations, be a constructive partner of the EU, stick firmly to our red lines," Vucic explained his priorities in the negotiations with Kosovo.

The tension between Serbia and its former province has continued since Kosovo unilaterally seceded in 2008. On March 18, another meeting of the Serbian president with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is scheduled to take place in Ohrid under the auspices of the EU.
