The UN-backed investigative team called Russia's attacks against civilians in Ukraine, systematic torture and killings in occupied regions, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

APA reports with reference to AP that today the investigative team published a report on Ukraine.

Among the potential crimes against humanity, the report cited persistent attacks targeting Ukraine's infrastructure since the fall, leaving hundreds of thousands without heat and electricity during the coldest months, as well as the "systematic and widespread" use of torture in many regions under Russian occupation.

The authors of the report also said that there were "few" obvious violations by the Ukrainian forces.

Note that the Commission of Inquiry is the most powerful tool used by the UN-backed Human Rights Council to investigate abuses and violations around the world.

It should be recalled that the investigative group on Ukraine was created shortly after Russia started a war against this country.

The three members of the commission are independent experts on human rights, and the staff of the group is supported by the UN human rights office.
