9,764 motor vehicles were checked as part of the ordered specialist police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

12,458 drivers and passengers were checked.

2,821 slips and 638 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations.

The focus of the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 

Within the past day, a total of 18 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after drinking alcohol - five of them drove after drinking alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 13 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, and one refused to be tested.

11 people were caught driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and four people refused to be tested.

2,622 motor vehicles and 2,962 drivers and passengers were checked from the aggregated data using the "linear control" method;

for detected violations, 696 slips and 142 AUAN were drawn up.

One driver was found to have driven after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 parts per thousand, and three – with more than 1.2 parts per thousand.

Five drivers sat behind the wheel under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues.
