The Russian invaders are attacking the positions of the Ukrainian military from several directions in the east, but the Armed Forces continue to hold the defense.

This is evidenced by the data on the new map of hostilities in Ukraine on March 16, published by the British Ministry of Defense.

According to the data presented, the fiercest hostilities continue in the east of Ukraine.

The most difficult section on the front remains

the Bakhmut direction

.

Russian invaders are also trying

to break through Ukrainian defenses near Vugledar, Maryinka and Avdiyivka.

Fighting is also taking place in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.

At the same time, no significant advance of the enemy is recorded in these directions.

The occupiers do not stop shelling peaceful settlements along the entire front line.

The illegal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is continuing.

It will be recalled that, according to British intelligence, the offensive of Russian troops in the Vugledar region has been halted for the past week thanks to new combat techniques used by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As for Bakhmut, in order to preserve it, the Ukrainian troops must develop an offensive on other areas of the front.

However, it depends on the weather, ammunition and reserves.

Colonel of the SBU, People's Deputy Roman Kostenko will give this assessment.

According to the latest information from the Armed Forces, they continue to hold the defense of Bakhmut, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

Thanks to this defense, other Ukrainian defenders can undergo training and prepare for a counterattack.
