In the 1990s, Russian propagandist Volodymyr Solovyov wanted to order the murder of the famous "thief in law" Otara Kvantrishvili for $20,000.

This was reported by The Insider with reference to former FSB employee Serhiy Astashin.

Who is Otari Kvantrishvili?

Otari Kvantrishvili was shot by a killer in 1994.

Many representatives of the Russian elite attended the funeral of the convicted criminal: the then mayor of Moscow Yuriy Luzhkov, the president of the National Sports Fund Shamil Tarpishchev, the owner of NTV Volodymyr Husynskyi, the deputy of the State Duma Yosyp Kobzon, Oleksandr Rosenbaum, Bohdan Titomir, as well as famous athletes and artists.

According to the publication, in the early 1990s, Kvantrishvili and Yosyp Kobzon founded the "Shield and Lyre" Fund to help law enforcement agencies.

Otari also created the "Sportsmen of Russia" party, which included Olympic champions, sambo wrestlers and boxers.

He had shares in several Moscow casinos, banks, oil transportation and, together with the criminal authority Sylvester, controlled the mining of precious metals.

Solovyov's business

According to the publication, Solovyov was engaged in business in the early 1990s.

In particular, he brought products and vodka from Israel.

In November 1993, Solovyov met Sergey Astashyn, who at that time was studying at the Academy of the Ministry of Security of Russia (now the Academy of the FSB) at the Faculty of Military Counterintelligence.

What does an ex-FSB officer say

According to Astashin, Solovyov asked him to find a killer to kill Kvantrishvili.

"I would have forgotten this story a long time ago, but once in some program I saw Solovyov start saying: "I was engaged in business, I never paid anyone, and if we were run over, my boys and I took assault rifles." This made me so angry ", says Serhiy Astashin.

At that time, Astashin was friends with Kirill Raykov, who worked as a courier for Solovyov and delivered goods.

Raikov asked Astashin to check the presence of bugs in Solovyov's office.

"I took the apparatus, went and found bugs. While I was working, Solovyov was sitting in a long black cashmere coat. I remember he had a Swiss watch, and he looked at mine and said that it was cheap. This watch was given to me and four others employees were given as a reward. Solovyov paid me $200," Astashin recalls.

A few days later, Solovyov turned to Astashin and asked him to "find a shooter" for the murder of Otari Kvantrishvili.

Solovyov initially offered 10,000 dollars for the execution of this order, but later he was ready to pay 20,000 dollars.

After the conversation, Astashin wrote a report about what happened to his boss.

But criminal cases against the future propagandist were not opened.

Astashin suggests that Solovyov could have been recruited into the FSB to silence his attempt to arrange a contract killing.

"The fact that the office could take him under his belt is one hundred percent. You have to be a complete idiot here to miss such a chance. Look for yourself how many bright stars there were on television at that time. Where are they now? And he has everything pre and pre," says the ex-FSB officer.

He does not rule out that the "criminal authority" was nevertheless "removed" at the behest of Solovyov.

"Solovyov never met me again. When I found out that Kvantrishvili was killed in the spring, I went to the head of the course. And they almost gave me a slap on the back of the head, they said: "Get out of here.

Forget all about it.

It doesn't concern you anymore," he added.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian propagandist Solovyov was scandalized because of a photo of his model son.

A photo of Solovyov's son with a manicure and a stylish hairstyle was published on the Internet (photo).

When Solovyov calls for conscripts to be sent to war, his children live not in Russia, but in the "rotting west", in London.
