33 children and about three thousand adults still remain in Bakhmut.

Evacuation is currently underway in the city, as well as along the entire freight line. 

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk OVA, stated this on the air of the telethon. 

Before the start of the full-scale war, 72 thousand people lived in Bakhmut.

Donetsk region, whose population was 1.6 million people, was left by 1.1 million citizens.

There are people in the region who categorically refuse to leave, says Kyrylenko.

The city suffers from constant Russian shelling and airstrikes.

The Russians do not stop trying to surround and capture it. 

The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, recently reported that the Russians are attacking Bakhmut from several directions.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi believes that the defense of the city is the main one on the entire front and is of paramount importance for deterring the invaders.
